A good guy with a gun took care of business against two youths who tried to rob his convenience store and threatened him with a firearm in New Orleans East earlier this week.

WWL Louisiana reported the incident happened in the 8400 Blk of S I-10 Service Road around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The store employee told WWL Louisiana that two young people walked in with guns and demanded cash. The two suspects were identified as 16-year-old Cecil Batiz and 18-year-old Teony Juarez.

WWL Louisiana obtained video footage Wednesday showing the incident. The video starts with Batiz and Juarez walking into the store with one of them pointing a weapon in the clerk’s face.

The employee proceeds to hand over the cash, and the gun-wielding perp saunters around the store with his partner in crime.

Still feeling a sense of danger, the clerk grabs his firearm and opens fire on one suspect. He falls to the floor.

The employee then jumps over the counter and starts firing at the other.
