Vance Slams Cuban’s ‘Insulting’ Comments About Trump Being Surrounded By Stupid Women

Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) slammed Vice President Kamala Harris’ billionaire surrogate Mark Cuban over his “insulting” comment about how “you never see him [Trump] around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple.”

“First of all, it’s insulting my wife, who’s a very strong and very intelligent woman, and goes to nearly every one of my campaign events with me,” Vance said in a pre-recorded interview for Sirius XM’s “Breitbart News Saturday” with host Matt Boyle.

“And it’s insulting to Lara Trump, who’s done an incredible job as co-chair of the RNC,” he added. “It’s insulting to Melania, who has the number one New York Times bestselling book right now. It’s insulting to everybody who thinks that our politics should be about public policy that makes people’s lives better instead of attacking your fellow citizens.”

“Whether it’s Mark Cuban or Kamala Harris, or, you know, Joe Biden — why are these people so preoccupied with denigrating and insulting and condescending their fellow citizens?” Vance continued. “If you are pissed off that Kamala Harris opened the border, you have every right. If you’re frustrated that Kamala Harris’ policies have made it impossible for you to afford the price of a home, you have every right.”

Trump’s running mate’s comment came after President Biden called tens of millions of Trump supporters “garbage.” It happened on Tuesday during a Zoom call with Latino supporters when Biden referenced remarks an insult comedian made at Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden.

“And just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage,'” Biden said in the call. “Well, let me tell you something. I don’t — I — I don’t know the Puerto Rican that — that I know — or a Puerto Rico, where I’m fr- — in my home state of Delaware, they’re good, decent, honorable people.”

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters — his — his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been,” he added.

Cuban has since tried to walk back the comments following a backlash against him.

“Let’s clarify something. This is what I said during a conversation about why Nikki Haley was not active in his campaign,” Cuban posted his explanation on X. “‘Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them and, you know, Nikki Haley will call him on his nonsense with reproductive rights and how he sees and treats and talks about women. I mean, he just can’t have her around. It wouldn’t work.'”

“I’m happy to clarify that 1. I know many strong, intelligent women voting for Trump. Including in my extended family. I’m certainly not saying female voters are not smart, strong and intelligent. 2. I know he has worked with strong intelligent women, like Elaine Chao, Kelly Anne, Ivanka [Trump] and many others[.] I stand by my opinion that he does not like being challenged publicly,” he added.
