Charlamagne Tha God Questions Whether Dems Lied About Trump Threat

Radio host Charlamagne tha God questioned whether Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democrats lied about the threat President-elect Donald Trump was to so-called “democracy.”

During his radio show “The Breakfast Club” on Friday, the host said he was having trouble squaring the comments about Trump being a “fascist” and “Hitler” by liberals before the results of the 2024 election.

“I will say this: I’m glad everybody’s having a sense of optimism because the reality is we have no choice, because we’re here now,” Charlamagne said. “Donald J. Trump is going to be the 47th president of the United States of America, like it or not, and we all hope for the best for this country. That’s all we can do.”

“But don’t y’all find it strange that now that he’s won, they’re not calling him a threat to democracy?” he added. “They’re not calling him a fascist. I mean, damn, on Monday, they was just calling him that.”

“I would think that, you know, if you really believe that, then somebody’s speech would be about how America effed up and how things are about to be really bad,” the host continued. “It just makes you wonder how much of it did they really believe, or how much of it was just politics. That’s all.”

Charlamagne’s comments were in reference to what Harris and Democrats like President Joe Biden have said after she conceded the election.

The VP said she had called Trump to congratulate him on the results and told her supporters that “we must accept the results of this election.”

“I am so proud of the race we ran and the way we ran it,” Harris told the crowd. “Over the 107 days of this campaign, we have been intentional about building community and building coalitions, bringing people together from every walk of life and background — united by love of country.”

“The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not voted for, but hear me when I say … the light of American’s promise will always burn bright as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting,” she added.

On Thursday, Biden spoke from the White House and said he, too, had called Trump and congratulated him on his victory.

“For over 200 years, America has carried on the greatest experiment in self-government in the history of the world,” Biden said. “That’s not hyperbole, that’s a fact.”

“I assured him that I direct my entire administration to work with his team to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition,” he added. “On January 20, we’ll have a peaceful transfer of power here in America.”
