Trump Rips Biden For Being Too Weak To Stand Up For Police

Former President Donald Trump slammed President Joe Biden this week for being too weak to support law enforcement because his base won’t allow him to.

Trump made the remarks after attending the wake of slain 31-year-old New York City Police Department officer Jonathan Diller, who was allegedly murdered by 34-year-old Guy Rivera.

During a traffic stop, as Diller attempted to get Rivera to vacate the car, Rivera allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot Diller in the stomach. Rivera had 21 prior arrests and was released from prison in 2021 after serving five years for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

“I think that politically he can’t support the police. I think he’s also making a mistake, but I think politically, his base won’t let him support the police,” Trump said. “And I support the police, I would say at the highest level of any president by far, maybe double or triple. And they knew that. That’s why when I walked into that funeral parlor, it was — it was like love. It was just — they want to shy away from it. They didn’t even call the family. They could have called. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know even a call would be, perhaps — I’m not sure they would take his call.”

Trump applauded everyone who turned out to show support for Diller and said that he enjoyed meeting Diller’s wife and grandmother.

“When I was leaving, we’re driving down the road and it felt like we were driving for miles and there were men and women in blue,” he said. “They were going for such a period, I said, ‘That’s a lot of people.’ It was a long blue line.”
