After Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig, a reporter asked Jude Bellingham a question that left him speechless.
The Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham, spoke with reporter Alessia Tarquinio of Amazon Prime Italy after the team drew with RB Leipzig to move onto the next round of the Champions League, according to Talk Sport. The pair were catching up when Tarquinio asked Bellingham a question that left him wide-eyed and at a loss for words.
“I owe you a thanks because after our talk my son behaves much better, so thank you so much,” Tarquinio said to Bellingham in front of cameras, per Talk Sport.
For context, the England international interviewed Tarquinio earlier in the season, where the reporter allegedly asked the athlete to tell her son at home to behave. Bellingham had obliged, says Talk Sport.
During their reunion following Real Madrid’s Champions League draw against RB Leipzig, the two reminisced and talked about Bellingham’s journey to learning Spanish. After the 20-year-old said he was “getting better,” the reporter seemed to test him by asking, “Would you like to come home with me?” in the language, according to Talk Sport.
Footage of the interview shows the star midfielder’s shocked reaction, as he most certainly was able to understand what she said. He appears to say “steady” after the question.
Bellingham will serve his two-match ban in La Liga after receiving a red card following Real Madrid’s controversial draw against Valencia. Real Madrid scored a last-ditch goal to win the game, but it was ruled out because the referee blew his whistle to end the game as the ball was crossed into the box. Bellingham, enraged, approached the ref to voice his disapproval, and he was booked with a red card.
