Biden’s Budget To Fund Border Security In Egypt, Jordan, While U.S. Faces Unprecedented Border Crisis

President Joe Biden’s new budget will allocate hundreds of millions of dollars to fund the border security efforts of foreign countries like Egypt and Jordan despite the United States facing an unprecedented crisis on our southern border.

The recently passed budget, which authorizes $1.2 trillion in spending by the federal government, will allocate approximately $380 million dollars to support “enhanced border security” in Egypt, Lebanon, Oman, Tunisia, and Jordan, the latter of which will receive roughly $150 million.

“The Biden administration wants nothing more than the ability to ‘manage’ an invasion here at home, all while helping nations abroad build walls,” RJ Hauman of the National Immigration Center for Enforcement (NICE) said in a statement to Breitbart News. “Make it make sense.”

Former Field Officer for Immigration and Customs Enforcement John Fabbricator similarly condemned the Biden administration’s hypocrisy. “While our border falls apart, the Biden Administration will be giving 380 million dollars to other countries to secure their borders,” he charged.“That’s right, you are being conned.”

While the new budget will fund border security efforts in foreign countries, the United States has faced a border crisis of never-before-seen proportions under the Biden administration. Officials have recorded about 9 million nationwide encounters and 1.7 million estimated gotaways since President Joe Biden took office. The figure marks a massive surge from the 415,000 total reported gotaways for 2018, 2019, and 2020 under the Trump administration.

As many as 320,000 foreign nationals have also been flown all across the country by the Biden administration to at least 43 different American airports. Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) proposed an amendment that would prevent the administration from using taxpayer dollars to fund these flights, but it failed by a vote of 47 to 51 with every single Democrat Senator voting to allow the flights to continue.

Now, Biden appears to be suffering among voters for his handling of the border. The Democrat incumbent, who’s shown to be trailing behind former President Donald Trump in recent polls, has a meager 36% approval rating from registered voters on his handling of immigration, according to a recent Harvard CAPS Harris poll. Among all issues, Biden has the lowest issue-specific approval rating on his handling of immigration, a trend that has persisted for four months.

The same poll also found that immigration has ranked as the top issue facing the country by the survey of registered voters, as well as the second highest issue affecting voters personally behind inflation.
