A new lengthy report into President Joe Biden’s failure to secure the U.S. southern border revealed that the crisis that Biden created has caused internal strife inside the White House which has further exacerbated the issue.
The report from Axios painted Biden as prone to chaotic emotional outbursts over the issue, saying that he has exploded at staffers and cabinet secretaries and that he has become increasingly unpleasant to be around when the issue comes up. The report said that Biden’s angry outbursts have contributed to inaction and indecisiveness on how to deal with the issue.
While Axios, which is a left-wing publication, tried to absolve the administration of the border crisis that it created, some officials who spoke on background said that “the administration has fallen far short” when it comes to taking executive action “within its control” that could help fix the crisis.
The report portrayed Vice President Kamala Harris, who Biden tapped to fix the border, as highly ineffective or outright incompetent at her job.
“She’s been at best ineffective, and at worst sporadically engaged and not seeing it was her responsibility,” one former administration official told the publication. “It’s an opportunity for her, and she didn’t fill the breach.”
Some in the administration wanted to enforce immigration laws and punish illegal aliens but ultimately far-left activists ended up winning as the administration chose to not secure the border and to prioritize accommodating the millions of illegal aliens flooding into the U.S. every year under Biden.
Biden created the crisis when he got into office and immediately overturned Trump’s border security measures, which opened up the floodgates for the world to enter the U.S. southern border.
The report said that the crisis has gotten so bad that Biden is considering “embracing immigration policies he ran against in 2020 — such as restricting asylum laws and suggesting he’ll ‘shut down’ the border.”
The report said that Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice caused a lot of internal strife inside the administration with her hostility towards others, including referring to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra as a “b***h-a*s” and an “idiot.”
She has also had run-ins with Harris, whom she reportedly believes was behind an effort to sabotage her from becoming Biden’s vice presidential nominee.
