Former President Donald Trump threatened this week those who are considering giving to the presidential campaign of his former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, saying that if they do so moving forward, they will not be welcomed by those in Trump World.
The former president made the remarks in a social media post after winning the New Hampshire primaries on Tuesday night by double digits, significantly narrowing the path forward for Haley.
“Nikki ‘Birdbrain’ Haley is very bad for the Republican Party and, indeed, our Country,” Trump said. “Her False Statements, Derogatory Comments, and Humiliating Public Loss, is demeaning to True American Patriots. Her anger should be aimed at her Third Rate Political Consultants and, more importantly, Crooked Joe Biden and those that are destroying our Country – NOT THE PEOPLE WHO WILL SAVE IT.”
“I knew Nikki well, she was average at best, is not the one to take on World Leaders, and she never did,” he continued. “That was up to me, and that is why they respected the United States. When I ran for Office and won, I noticed that the losing Candidate’s ‘Donors’ would immediately come to me, and want to ‘help out.’ This is standard in Politics, but no longer with me. Anybody that makes a ‘Contribution’ to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp. We don’t want them, and will not accept them, because we Put America First, and ALWAYS WILL!”
Trump’s remarks come after Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel effectively said that Haley needed to drop out of the race following the results in New Hampshire.
“I’m looking at the math and the path going forward,” McDaniel said. “And I don’t see it for Nikki Haley. I think she’s run a great campaign. But I do think there is a message that’s coming out from the voters, which is very clear, we need to unite around our eventual nominee, which is going to be Donald Trump and we need to make sure we beat Joe Biden.”
