Kirk Cameron Calls Out Scholastic Books For Glamorizing Gender Transitioning, Pushing ‘Sexually Explicit’ Material

Kirk Cameron called out Scholastic Books for glamorizing gender transitioning and pushing “sexually explicit” material in books, calling the publisher a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” that’s taken over schools and libraries.

The 53-year-old actor dropped a lengthy post on Tuesday on X slamming the publisher for prioritizing “LGBTQIA+-themed books — including those that have obscene, graphic content” as he discussed his new partnership with non-woke SkyTree Book Fairs.

“MUST READ! Ever wondered how all the sexually explicit, morally disgusting, and dangerous books get into our children’s schools, classrooms, and libraries?” Cameron wrote. “[SkyTreeFairs] and I did a deep dive and discovered who the real wolf in Grandma’s clothing is. We see you [scholastic]!”

The “Growing Pains star” shared what he said were the pages from the book “Welcome to St. Hell,” a “2022 [Scholastic] book that” he said “glamorizes gender transitioning to middle schoolers.”

He also included another post with quotes from another pro-trans book called “Melissa” that’s geared towards children ages 8–12 and written by Scholastic’s “radical activist-author [Alex Gino].” The excerpt he shared read, “She immersed her body in the warm water and tried not to think about what was between her legs, but there it was a [penis] bobbing in front of her.”

Another excerpt from a different book from the publisher titled “Rick,” that’s “marketed for children ages 8–12” he said “tells the story of a grandfather and grandchild coming out as trans to one another.”

“As further evidence of how obscene these books are, [BraveBooksUS] had a [Facebook] ad that included images from [Scholastic’s] book, ‘Heartstopper,’ which got rejected for depicting ‘people in explicit or suggestive positions or images that show nudity or cleavage,'” Cameron wrote.

“Some assume that because [Scholastic] is a world-renowned children’s publisher, these books we’ve highlighted are the exception,” he added. “That is incorrect … [Scholastic] has published a list of their 100+ LGBTQIA+ books on their website. (This list is not exhaustive as we found many other LGBTQ-themed books not on it.)”

“For many years, [Scholastic] has been championed by educators as a trusted publisher of children’s content,” the actor continued. “This should no longer be the case. Scholastic is pushing sexualized and gender-confusing content for minors into schools and libraries.”

The “Lifemark” star then encouraged parents to download a PDF from SkyTree Book Fairs that he said “documents the inappropriate and sexualized children’s content published and distributed by [Scholastic]” and share it with your school leaders to make the change to SkyTree Book Fairs.

Cameron told The Daily Wire he’s partnering with the company because “kids are exposed to sexually explicit, race-infused, and gender-confusing children’s books while being told this is what it means to be educated, that this is the reason they go to school. But these books, published and distributed by Scholastic, are taking children down a path that will eventually destroy them and their families.”
