Trump Campaign Calls On RNC To Cancel All Remaining Primary Debates

Former President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign called on the Republican National Committee to cancel all the remaining 2024 presidential primary debates and support Trump after the second GOP primary debate on Wednesday night.

The former president sought to draw attention away from other the candidates by not attending the debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.

“Tonight’s GOP debate was as boring and inconsequential as the first debate, and nothing that was said will change the dynamics of the primary contest being dominated by President Trump,” said Trump campaign manager Chris LaCivita. “The RNC should immediately put an end to any further primary debates so we can train our fire on Crooked Joe Biden and quit wasting time and money that could be going to evicting Biden from the White House.”

Trump instead gave a speech at Drake Enterprises, a parts supplier in Clinton Township, Michigan, as the United Auto Workers labor union strikes against the Big Three American automotive manufacturers.

In his speech, Trump focused on Biden’s push for more electric vehicle sales, saying the green energy agenda of the Biden administration is harming the auto industry and the livelihoods of blue-collar workers. He also slammed the president for traveling to Michigan on Tuesday “to pose for photos at the picket line” only after Trump had announced he would speak to striking auto workers.

“The workers of America are getting, to put it very nicely, screwed. … Yesterday Joe Biden came to Michigan to pose for photos at the picket line, but it’s his policies that send Michigan auto workers to the unemployment line,” Trump said. “He only came after I announced that I would be here.”
