President Biden Finally Sits Down For An In-Person Interview … With The Weather Channel

President Joe Biden will sit down for a rare one-on-one interview Tuesday, but he is not expected to address the more recent developments regarding his son Hunter Biden and Hunter’s former business partner Devon Archer.

Biden has managed to avoid doing major press conferences and in-person interviews for most of his tenure in the White House – and the Press Corps has taken notice, complaining regularly about the lack of access to Biden and his administration. Despite that, the president’s Tuesday interview, set to air on Wednesday, is expected to be all about climate — and will air on The Weather Channel.

White House Communications Director Ben LaBolt explained the move, noting that the president was attempting to reach voters who didn’t typically watch political interviews.

“Today at the Grand Canyon — the President will tape an interview on his plan to combat climate change, addressing the threat posed by extreme weather and to promote resilience. Meeting viewers where they are — including those who don’t tune into political news on a regular basis,” he said.

The interview comes on the heels of Archer’s testimony – which contradicted Joe Biden’s repeated claims that he had never spoken to Hunter about his foreign business dealings and suggested that he had, in fact, spoken directly to the business partners in question. Democrats have since attempted to explain away Archer’s claims by suggesting that Biden only discussed trivial and mundane things like “the weather” when he joined conversations with Hunter’s business associates.

“They found the least likely outlet to ask about Hunter and went with it,” GOP Rapid Response Director Jake Schneider responded.

Fox News media reporter Joseph Wulfsohn noted the irony, saying, “Dems: ‘Devon Archer said Biden only spoke with Hunter’s business partners about the weather!’ **WH schedules interview with The Weather Channel days later**.”

The New York Post’s Miranda Devine added, “President Biden granted a rare interview Tuesday to the Weather Channel, having avoided media questions since July 13. What’s the bet he won’t be asked about the bombshell testimony of Devon Archer, the implosion of Hunter’s sweetheart deal, and cocaine found in the White House.”
