It's the blockbuster scoop that everybody in the media world wants to land – everyone except for Joe Rogan, it seems.
For while Tucker Carlson is offering the Joe Rogan Experience host first crack at an exclusive interview detailing his April ouster from Fox News, sources tell DailyMail.com the interest is not reciprocal.
Insiders say Carlson's people began reaching out to Rogan's producers six weeks ago believing his hugely successful Spotify podcast would be the perfect setting for an unabridged deep dive into the Fox meltdown.
The two men, who boast millions of listeners on their respective platforms are avowed champions of free speech and share a mutual disdain for cancel culture and identity politics.
But a well-placed source told DailyMail.com: 'Joe will simply not respond. He's shown no interest in having Tucker on. It's like crickets.'

The snub comes despite Rogan, who attracts an estimated 11 million listeners per episode, stating on air that he would love to chat with prime-time favorite Carlson.
'I'd be interested in talking to him. I think the whole thing is very fascinating,' Rogan told bowhunter Cameron Hanes on a recent episode.
'He was one of the only guys who was going against the corporate narrative.'
Behind the scenes, the vibe couldn't be more different, according to our insider.
'Tucker wanted it to happen. His people reached out to Rogan's team saying he wanted to come on, he was willing to reveal what went down at Fox, the firing, the aftermath, everything,' added our source.

'They went through producers, his close colleagues, all the right people, and got absolutely no response.
'This has been going on for weeks and weeks. Even Rogan's friends are starting to ask, what is he doing?
'Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan sounds like a match made in heaven - and a ratings bonanza.
'Nobody can figure out why he wants nothing to do with it.'
Carlson was fired in late April just days after Fox announced a $787 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, which had accused the network's hosts of 'giving life' to a 'manufactured storyline' about voter fraud in the 2020 election.
The suit exposed a trove of awkward internal emails and texts, including messages in which the conservative firebrand said he 'passionately' hated Donald Trump and labeled one senior exec a c***.
Carlson is also at the center of a lawsuit lodged by former booking producer Abby Grossberg who claims she was subjected to bullying, sexism and anti-Semitism while working on his nightly 8pm show, a ratings behemoth that regularly drew more than three million viewers.
Since Leaving Fox, the conservative has launched 'Tucker on Twitter', a series of straight-to-camera monologues filmed with the help of a handful of loyalists who quit their jobs at the cable channel to help him start a new venture.
The first episode attracted a staggering 115 million online views while a follow up garnered around 55 million.
But the barnstorming launch also opened fresh wounds with Fox, who sent Carlson a cease-and-desist letter for apparently breaching his contract, which runs until early 2025.

Carlson's lawyer Harmeet Dhillon responded in a statement to Axios, saying: 'Tucker will not be silenced by anyone … he is a singularly important voice on matters of public interest in our country, and will remain so.'
Carlson has in fact given one interview to the media since leaving Fox, albeit a brief one.
Days after his ouster, he and his wife Susan pulled over to talk to DailyMail.com as they headed out to dinner near their home in Boca Grande, Florida.
'Retirement is going great so far,' Carlson told our reporter. 'I haven't eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years.'
Pressed on his future, Carlson flashed a broad smile and joked: 'Appetizers plus entrée.' He then sped off on a golf cart, howling with laughter.
Rogan, a comic, UFC announcer and recipient of a $200 million distribution rights deal from Spotify, has had his own share of controversies and brushes with cancel culture.
In January 2020 he clashed with Neil Young after the 76-year-old rocker threatened to remove his music from the streaming giant in protest over Rogan's views on Covid 19.

In February 2022 Rogan apologized for using the n-word after singer India Arie shared a compilation of the podcaster using the slur repeatedly on his show, though he said the clips were taken out of context.
In February of this year Rogan was slammed by the Anti-Defamation League for saying that the 'idea that Jewish people are not into money is ridiculous.'
Despite the snub, Rogan's public comments about Carlson have been broadly supportive.
In the wake of his firing, Rogan suggested on his show that Carlson should shun offers from mainstream media outlets in favor of alternative platforms like Rumble, which bills itself as a free speech alternative to YouTube.
'I mean, if I was a person in a position of power and a wild card, like Tucker Carlson got released from Fox News and maybe Rumble makes a deal with him or something like that. Do you have any f**king idea how big that would be?' Rogan said.
A spokesman for the Joe Rogan Experience has not responded to a request for comment.
