Former Navy SEAL Who Detransitioned Warns: Trans Movement Has ‘Morphed’ Into A Dangerous ‘Ideology’

A retired U.S. Navy SEAL who became famous a decade ago for becoming transgender told Fox News in an interview Monday night that the transgender movement has turned into a dangerous ideology that is targeting America’s youth.

Chris Beck, who became Kristin Beck and has now returned to his original name, served with SEAL teams for two decades, including in Afghanistan and Iraq, and was awarded 29 medals for his service.

“Well, transgender originally started out as pretty basic and very rare,” Beck told Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “And now it’s kind of morphed into an ideology. And that’s what I’m kind of speaking out about.” He pointed out that transgender ideology is being pushed in schools and argued that many young people are having surgeries because it’s “an affirmation.”

“Once a teenager walks into an office, even if the parents are saying, ‘no’, that doctor can override that. And that’s a problem,” he continued. He argued politics needs to be taken out of the situation and that doctors should start discussing conditions like gender dysphoria again.

“I don’t want this to be political. And I don’t want transgender people to be harmed. But if you’re doing this to kids, that’s wrong,” Beck added.

Beck told a story about the daughter of one of his Navy SEAL friends. She was a tomboy who had a double mastectomy at 16, Beck said. “Now this person is 20, I think, and who knows what’s gonna happen, but they also start doing them on hormone blockers … it sterilizes these kids,” he said.

The media “hide the fact that I even exist. They also say that I hate transgender people,” he said, noting that he still has a lot of friends who are transgender and that he cares about them. Beck claimed he wanted people, including doctors, to slow down and “see what they’re doing.”

Beck told Tucker, “I don’t want to talk to you” and that he did not want to be on Fox News but he did not feel like he had a choice given what is going on in the world.

“We have to be here. Because nobody is standing up for these kids,” he added. Beck said that many children were being pulled into the transgender ideology, “and that is wrong.”
