US Border Patrol agents have apprehended a 5-year-old unaccompanied child traveling in a group of 83 people at Eagle Pass in Del Rio, TX.
Here is a photo of the little boy standing alone with what appears to be a core of an apple or pear in his hand.
According to Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens, who tweeted about the discovery of the young boy, their U.S. Border Patrol unit in Del Rio Sector covers 47 counties and 242 miles of the border along the Rio Grande in Southwest Texas.
Who fed this boy while he made the trek to our southern border? Who bathed him on his journey? What kind of parents would allow this boy to travel across the border of a foreign country by himself? Was he kidnapped? Is he a victim of human trafficking? There are so many questions that need to be answered about a large number of unaccompanied children that are suddenly showing up in the U.S. after illegally crossing our southern border. Still, the first question must be, “Why is Joe Biden and the Democrats in his inner-circle facilitating this humanitarian crisis?
In September 2021, two very young children (2-years old and 3-months old) were, fortunately, spotted by border patrol agents along the Rio Grande. If they hadn’t been seen and rescued, they would not have survived. The two children were from Honduras.
In March 2021, 300 Central American migrants were found packed in trailers that were transporting them to the U.S.-Mexican border, and 114 of them were unaccompanied minors.
At the time the 114 unaccompanied minors were found packed into a trailer, about 1,000 minors were being held at the US Customs and Border Protection facilities for more than ten days, despite the legal time limit for holding minors being only 72 hours. Due to the inundation of immigrants flooding the border, there are insufficient resources to properly place these minors into protective care since we have never dealt with this magnitude of a border crisis.
In April 2021, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) traveled to our southern border where she addressed the crisis of our “trafficker-in-chief,” whose reckless policies are creating the crisis causing young unaccompanied children to be delivered to the United States:
