Courageous Jewish Conservative MP Melissa Lantsman, a grandchild of Holocaust survivors, is yet to receive an apology from divisive Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In fact, as she demanded an apology, cheers erupted, but apparently, Trudeau had already walked out of the room. Trudeau has been driving division and is showing his true colors every day, but this is even a new low.
Lantsman recited two quotes from Trudeau. The first quote in 2015, when he said, “An optimistic, hopeful vision for public life isn’t a naïve dream. It can be a powerful force for change. If Canadians are to trust their government, their government has to trust Canadians.” She contrasted that with his words in 2022 when he called protestors “often misogynistic, racist, women-haters, science deniers,” who are a part of “the fringe.”
“Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas; they can stand with people who wave the confederate flag. We will choose to stand with Canadians who deserve to be able to get to their jobs, to be able to get their lives back. These illegal protests need to stop, and they will,” he said.
Trudeau responded to Lantsman by saying Conservative Party members “can stand with people who wave swastikas.”

As if the first video wasn’t shocking enough, this MUST WATCH Conservative MP Dane Lloyd as he slammed Trudeau over his comments and demanded an apology.
“Mr. Speaker, I’ve never seen such shameful and dishonorable remarks coming from this prime minister,” said Lloyd.
“There are members of this Conservative caucus who are the descendants of victims of the Holocaust,” he said.
Lloyd demands an apology three times from Trudeau, yet he refuses.
@DaneLIoydMP tweeted: This is the most shameful thing I’ve ever seen.
Trudeau just accused @MelissaLantsman of standing with a Swastika.
Members of the Conservative Caucus have family who died in the holocaust.
I demanded Trudeau apologize three times, and he refused. Shame on him.

Later in the session, after Trudeau left the lower chamber, Lantsman addressed what the prime minister said.
“I am a strong Jewish woman and a member of this House and a descendant of Holocaust survivors, and … it’s never been singled out, and I’ve never been made to feel less,” said Lantsman.
“Except for today, when the prime minister accused me of standing with swastikas. I think he owes me an apology. I’d like an apology, and I think he owes an apology to all members of this House.”
CANADA—Has @JustinTrudeau apologized, yet, for his remarks after Jewish member, @MelissaLantsman spoke out against the use of #EmergenciesAct to address convoy?

“Look, this is not a surprise to me,” she told host Laura Ingraham. “You just said it. These are his true colors. I sit there and watch him divide and wedge and stigmatize Canadians every single day. And today, the rest of Canada saw a G-7 prime minister go after a Jewish member of parliament and then walk away and not apologize.”
Lantsman said she expects an apology.
She added that “words matter,” and Trudeau’s words led to “an influx of people calling you a Nazi, and that’s not OK.”
She laid such divisive rhetoric at his feet, saying Canada is “in trouble and he’s lost control of the situation.”
“… to watch what is happening and what the prime minister is driving in this country is frankly egregious.”
Canada’s divisions are manifold, from an “urban-rural divide,” “East-West divide,” and “the highest, most draconian” COVID-19 restrictions despite “one of the highest” vaccination rates, Lantsman said.
“I’m the party’s transport critic, so we’ve been calling to an end to these mandates, particularly the cross-border trucking mandate, since earlier this year.”

“… and we could have put an end to this. He can drop the mandates, and he can drop the restrictions today. And I think that we will have a much more cohesive country.”

When Trudeau had an opportunity to help alleviate tensions in Canada, he chose to defame and inflame the situation. Lanstman explained that rules prevent her from calling Trudeau out, but we can, and we are!
I think the Prime Minister should think long and hard about his own history before singling out a Jewish Member of Parliament and falsely accusing me of standing with a Swastika. What a disgraceful statement unbecoming of anyone in public office – he owes me an apology. #cdnpoli
