BREAKING: Police Descend On Windsor Ambassador Bridge Protesters, Seem Ready To Arrest them

Protests have broken out across Canada to bring an end to the country’s authoritarian vaccine mandates and covid restrictions.  Alberta and Saskatchewan have already caved and lifted their vaccine mandates while Ottawa plans to lift its restrictions on private gatherings next month.  The protests have included a 6 day blockage of the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, Canada.  This morning, Windosr police tweeted that people taking part in the demonstration are subject to arrest and ‘advised to clear the area immediately’.

Police have taken steps that indicate they are ready to clear the area, including possibly arresting protesters who are not compliant.  This morning.  Last night, a judge issued an injunction giving police permission to clear out the protest, leading some protesters to leave on their own.  As of this morning, about 20 protest vehicles remained at the demonstration.  Officers have not arrested demonstrators yet, but appear to be moving closer towards them.

Rebel News Reports– “Rebel News reporters Isabelle Rivo and David Menzies are on the scene of an intense policed stand-off between protesters blocking Windsor, Ontario’s Ambassador Bridge and dozens of heavily armed officers.

The bridge, the portal for over one quarter of all the cross-border trade between Canada and the United States, connects Windsor and Detroit. The bridge is the main route in the auto manufacturing supply chain and the blockade of the bridge is causing disruptions at several auto plants in US.

Protesters are blocking the bridge to oppose COVID-19 restrictions across the country, as part of a nation-wide protest movement that grew out of a trucker’s convoy to Ottawa that was created to oppose cross-border vaccine mandates. The convoy to Ottawa in now entering its third week in the nation’s capital where thousands of truckers and supporters remain in the streets.

Ontario Progressive Conservative Premier Doug Ford has invoked a state of emergency in response to the blockade and threatened heavy fines and consequences.”

In a viral video, dozens of police can be seen standing off against the few remaining protesters
