Three Major US-Based Retailers That Cashed In On COVID Pandemic Significantly Raise Prices of At-Home COVID Test Kit After Deal With Biden Regime Ends

COVID-19-related shutdowns brought unexpected benefits to Kroger, Amazon, and Walmart. While mom-and-pop businesses across America that relied on foot traffic in their brick-and-mortar stores were forced to close their doors permanently,  big box stores were making money hand over fist.

The Kroger Corporation made a fortune during the pandemic. To show their gratitude for the “essential” workers, Kroger offered them a $2/hour bonus in pay, calling it “hero pay.” In early May of 2020, much to the dismay of workers, Kroger discontinued their “hero pay.”

Last week, we wrote about how Kroger showed their appreciation for frontline workers by banning their unvaccinated workers from getting sick pay if they get the CCP virus and adding a monthly surcharge to the insurance of unvaxxed managers.

The unvaccinated Kroger workers aren’t the only ones getting the shaft…

To show their gratitude for the customers who helped make their bottom line explode during the COVID pandemic by purchasing online necessities and other items during the lockdowns, Kroger, along with Walmart and Amazon, have significantly raised the prices on their in-home COVID-19 in-home rapid test kits after an agreement ended between the Biden regime and US retailers.

Walmart, Kroger, and Amazon had all agreed to sell Abbott’s BinaxNOW testing kits at a fixed price until the end of the year. Now that this federal discount deal has expired, the costs of the testing kits have risen from $14 o $19.98 at Walmart and an even higher $23.99 at Kroger, CVS, and Walgreens.

When asked if the Biden regime was working to re-lower the prices of the tests, Jen Psaki responded, saying, “I can’t give you an update on any conversations.”

The tests are all sold out on Amazon’s website right now, and other retailers are struggling to meet the extremely high consumer demand for the product. The kits are also sold out on both Walmart and Kroger’s websites.

“We have seen significant demand for at-home Covid-19 testing kits and are working closely with our suppliers to meet this demand and get the needed product to our customers,” said a spokesperson for Walmart.

Last month, Biden announced he would be shipping up to 500 million free test kits to citizens who request them. The costs of this initiative are still being kept private, along with other crucial details of this plan.
