OUCH! Fauci Gets Fact-checked On Lie He Told About His Records Being Available Online During Senate Hearing

Yesterday, Dr. Fauci testified under oath that both his financial documents and conflict of interest documents are public knowledge and suggested they could be easily accessed. This is a complete and irrefutable lie.

In a heated exchange between Dr. Fauci and Senator Robert Marshall, M.D., Fauci was asked if he would commit to releasing all the documents related to his role in the origins of COVID-19 and his influence over COVID policy creation. However, the NIH refuses to release Fauci’s employment contract, job description, confidentiality agreements, conflict of interest disclosures, financial disclosures, and royalty payments.

Forbes has been unable to access Fauci’s payment records from the NIH which have previously shown him earning an extraordinarily high salary for a federal employee.

Despite Fauci’s claims that these records are ‘readily available’, Openthebooks.com is suing NIH in court over their refusal to release the relevant documents in a timely manner. There are about 1,200 pages containing related information the NIH has yet to release, which may reveal if Dr. Fauci leveraged his early knowledge of COVID to guide his financial trading.

At yesterday’s hearing with Dr. Marshall, Fauci testified under oath that his financial documents and conflict of interest disclosures are “public knowledge”, and insists that “all you have to do is ask.” Dr. Fauci made the following statements about his financial disclosures:

However, Forbes’ Adam Andrzejewski, CEO/Founder of OpenTheBooks.comoutlines the discrepancies between what Fauci is saying and what is reality:

Salary: two years behind. The latest salary available on Dr. Anthony Fauci ($434,312) is from FY2020. However, the current fiscal year FY2022 started last October 1st. The agency refused to release Fauci’s current salary to us on a request for comment just two weeks ago.

Employment contract: what are the terms of Fauci’s employment as director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases and chief medical advisor to President Biden? Is Fauci receiving income from other federal agencies or entities?

Confidentiality agreement: does Fauci have a hush agreement with the agency? If so, what is he not allowed to publicly discuss?

Conflict of Interest and Financial Disclosures: one journalist said she received 2019 disclosure documents via FOIA. However, that’s three fiscal years ago. NIH made [OpenTheBooks.com] sue for the more recent years.

Job description: vital to know the powers and duties charged to Dr. Anthony Fauci. For example, does Fauci consult the Department of Defense for his biodefense work? Does he have a security clearance and if so at what level?

Royalties: does Fauci receive royalties? If so, from whom? Big pharma? Since 2005, NIH was supposed to post a database of all scientists receiving royalties on its website. However, the database doesn’t exist and [OpenTheBooks.com] had to sue for it.

Calendar: with Judicial Watch, [OpenTheBooks.com] filed another FOIA request for Fauci’s daily calendar and, unfortunately, file a second lawsuit for production.

Andrzejewski reports that “NIH went silent and wouldn’t correspond for months” after his organization began filing Freedom of Information Acts requesting Fauci’s documents. Fauci’s financial records are NOT available online, and his claim that his financial disclosures are readily available is a flat-out lie that is proven by the NIH’s refusal to release the 1,200 pages of requested information.
