Iran: Statue to Qassem Soleimani Is Unveiled in Official Ceremony in the Morning — Then Torched by Protesters That Night

The supporters of the Iranian opposition movement, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), torched the large and newly dedicated statue of Qassem Soleimani on Wednesday night in Shahrekord, Iran.

Soleimani, the commander of the terrorist Al Quds Force, was killed in a US drone strike last year in Baghdad, Iraq. Soleimani was the mass murderer of the MEK members and the people of Iraq and Syria.

The statue in Shahrekord, was torched at 9:30 pm local time on Wednesday. His statue was unveiled Wednesday morning in the presence of officials of the clerical regime with great fanfare. Several hours later, however, it was set ablaze.
