BREAKING: US State Dept Warns:”US government will not be in a position to evacuate US citizens”...US Citizens should plan accordingly”

Remember that time when Joe Biden knew that the US would be withdrawing from Afghanistan, but he and his regime were so inept in their execution of the withdrawal that they left thousands of US citizens behind?

Shades of Afghanistan?

The State Department has already placed a “Level 4” travel advisory on Ukraine, urging US citizens not to travel there due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and “increased threats from Russia.”

“Exercise increased caution due to crime and civil unrest,” reads a warning from the US Embassy in Kiev. “Some areas have increased risks.”

In November, the embassy warned US citizens in Ukraine that security conditions could “change with little or no notice” as Russia continued to build up its military activity along the border between the two nations.

While the embassy has not issued additional guidance since officials will convene a virtual town hall meeting on Jan. 25 for Americans in Ukraine to discuss the increased threats from Russia and what the US government can do to assist them.

On Sunday at 7:55 pm, Fox News National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin tweeted that US Citizens are being told they’re on their own and need to arrange their own commercial flights out of Ukraine because “the US government is not in a position to evacuate US citizens.”

Griffin’s first tweet explains how the State Dept. has “authorized the departure of some US government employees, but we have ordered the departure of all family members of US government employees at our Embassy in Kiev.” The State Department has also elevated their travel advisory to and from Ukraine to a “level-4 ” in Ukraine.

Griffin’s second tweet read:

From State Dept call: “Given that the President has said military action by Russia could come at any time. The US government will not be in a position to evacuate US citizens. So US citizens, currently present in Ukraine should plan accordingly.” Arrange commercial flights.

Times of Israel – Western officials say Russia has deployed as many as 100,000 soldiers near the border with Ukraine. The White House has said Moscow could launch an offensive against the former Soviet republic “at any point.”

The Kremlin denies having any bellicose intentions but has said any de-escalation near the Ukraine border will depend on guarantees of no further NATO enlargement — particularly involving Ukraine — and on a reduction of the allied presence in Eastern Europe.
