In a speech last week, President Joe Biden, who has failed to address the Covid-19 pandemic despite it being one of his core campaign promises, has now turned to coercing social media companies in to engaging in even stricter censorship. “I make a special appeal to social media companies and media outlets — please deal with the misinformation and disinformation that’s on your shows. It has to stop,” said Biden. Just days after the speech, social media companies and cable providers have already answered the call. This week, DirecTV announced that it would not renew its contract with One America News Network, or OANN. CBS News Reports–
“DirecTV and One America News Network are parting ways, the satellite television company confirmed to CBS News on Friday.
“We informed Herring Networks that, following a routine internal review, we do not plan to enter into a new contract when our current agreement expires,” a DirecTV spokesperson said in a statement. Bloomberg News first reported the decision.
However, the spokesperson noted that the television company will continue to carry the the pro-Trump network’s programming through their existing agreement. OANN will still be available on Verizon FIOS and a few other smaller distributors, according to the company’s website.”
OANN viewers immediately took to social media to oppose the decision, many called for a boycott of DirecTV.

Prominent politicians, including President Donald Trump himself, have discussed the possibility of boycotting AT&t and DirecTV as well.
DirecTV's announcement it will not renew One America News' (OAN) contract in April has become a political hot-button with leftists celebrating the move and former President Donald Trump teasing a boycott of AT&T at Saturday night's campaign rally. https://t.co/K7SmGauwAp

“The woke executives, I don’t know what the hell they’re doing, they have so much debt,” he told a large crowd, teasing a “boycott” of AT&T.
“I’m not going to use the word boycott! I will not say boycott AT&T.” Said Trump at a recent rally.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Oh.) also took to Twitter to condemn the move.
The Left’s purge continues:
-YouTube demonetizes Dan Bongino.
-DirectTV drops One America News.
-Twitter suspends Dr. Malone.
Who’s next?
