A man was robbed and brutally beaten with a brick until he was knocked unconscious, before also having his pants ripped off as muggers stole his phone and wallet, in a vicious attack in the lobby of a New York apartment building.
The shocking assault was caught on video by surveillance cameras as the 53-year-old victim was seen wheeling his bike into the lobby of his building in The Bronx.
Suddenly, two assailants pounced, knocking the man over the head with a brick and forcing him to the ground.

Before the victim had even time to react, he was kicked in the face, knocking him unconscious allowing the robbers to further violate him.
The man's pants were pulled off him as the pair attempted to search for the man's cellphone and wallet.
The robbers tugged at the man's clothing so viciously that they ended up ripping in half.

The pair's callous disregard for the man was further evident as they pulled him up into the air and then slammed him back down onto the ground while trying to steal his belongings.
After grabbing everything they needed, the men ran out of the building and into another one nearby.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition.
Cops from the NYPD are on the hunt for the men responsible, both of whom are believed to be in their 20s. They've released clear surveillance camera grabs of both.
One was seen on the video to be wearing a black and white hooded sweater, gray sweatpants, black sneakers and carrying a black and green backpack.

The incident is the latest in an alarming spike in violent crime in the city.
According to the latest New York City crime statistics, there has been an almost 25% rise in robberies compared with November 2020.
There were 1,056 incidents in 2020 with 1,317 robberies reported in November 2021.
There has also been an increase on the amount of crime committed on New York City housing complexes with an 11% rise compared with November 2020 and a 6% increase overall year on year.
In the city as a whole, crime is up on the year to-date some 3% compared to 2020 with an almost 20% increase compared with November 2020.
