A California contractor has been arrested after a member of his church group sent texts and photos of him at the January 6 Capitol riots to the FBI.
Agents arrived at the home of Glenn Allen Brooks, 61, in Huntington Beach just before 6 am Thursday.
At least five of the agents carried assault weapons and shields as they marched toward Brooks' house, according to surveillance footage obtained by KCAL.
A member of Brooks' prayer group tipped agents off on January 30.
The person said Brooks 'boasted' about his participation in the riot, and provided agents with photos of him and others at the scene.
The FBI surveilled the home in March and matched his appearance, particularly his 'white beard', to surveillance footage from the Capitol riots, according to a complaint filed July 27 in US District Court in Washington, DC.
Brooks sent a selfie of himself (left) to his church prayer group. FBI agents later matched it to surveillance footage from inside the US Capitol on Jan. 6
On January 6, Brooks entered the Capitol building through a broken window near the Senate wing door at 3.13pm, the complaint states.
His went inside about an hour after members of Congress and Vice President Mike Pence were ordered to evacuate the building in the midst of certifying the November election results in favor of then President-elect Joe Biden.
Brooks wore a red jacket, a plaid scarf and a red, white and blue knit hat with 'TRUMP' on the front.
The complaint does not allege any behavior from Brooks once inside the building aside from recording and taking pictures.
A bipartisan congressional committee is investigating the riot along with the events leading up to it, including President Donald Trump's call for his supporters to march to the Capitol, which houses the US House of Representatives and the Senate, and 'fight like hell'.

Brooks, left, is charged with unlawful entering, engaging in conduct disruptive to the government and uttering loud, threatening or abusive language

Five people died during the chaos, including US Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick.
Brooks is the owner of Brooks Works Corps, a contracting firm that advertises kitchen remodeling and room additions on its website.
He was charged with entering a restricted building without lawful authority, engaging in disruptive conduct with the intent to impede the orderly conduct of government and uttering loud, threatening or abusive language with the intent to disrupt a session of Congress.
Brooks is the second person from Huntington Beach to be charged in connection with the Capitol riot, according to the Mercury News.
Mark Simon, a vocal conservative figure described as a “known activist” by police, was arrested January 28.
According to a statement by an FBI agent filed with a federal criminal complaint, Simon took video of himself saying, 'In the Capitol, baby, yeah!' as well as '2021 Donald Trump!' as he allegedly joined others who pushed their way into the building.
More than two dozen of the 599 people charged in connection with the Capitol riot are from California.
