A man who decided to fake his own murder after his wife hired a hitman to kill him reveals how she 'laughed like a lotto winner' when she thought her plot had succeeded.
Ramon Sosa, 55, from Houston, Texas, appeared on This Morning on Wednesday to discuss how he countered the bizarre plan in 2016 to do away with him - admitting that he wouldn't be surprised if Netflix called wanting to make a series about his life.
He told the daytime show's presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield how he worked with police in Houston, Texas, to catch his Mexican wife Lulu after she offered a former client of her husband's $2,000 to kill him.

Appearing on This Morning, he told hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield that he'd found love again but still felt sad that the relationship ended the way it did, saying: 'I thought we'd spend the rest of our lives together'
The complicated sting to catch her involved Sosa, a boxing coach who runs his own gym, faking his own brutal murder, complete with photos of him laying in a ditch with an apparent bullet to the head.
Lola, who's from Mexico City but who was granted US citizenship in 2013 after marrying Sosa, is currently serving a 20-year jail term for attempted murder.
Ramos told the show that his mother-in-law uttered a chilling warning to him about her daughter on the day they were wed on March 15th 2010.
In a video call from Houston, he told the hosts: 'We met in a salsa club in Houston and danced the night away. She treated me like a king while we were dating, she was a wonderful person.
'The first red flag in my relationship with Lulu was on our wedding day when her mother walked up to me, and whispered: "Now she's your trouble". I was in shock but happy to be married.'

Problems arose several years in when Lulu, a mother-of-two, sided with her eldest son in arguments.
'Her son wanted to be the man of the house. I told him: "As long as you live under my house, as long as I'm putting food on the table, there's only one man in the house" but Lulu was always taking his side.'
Sosa told the show how he got wind of a plot to kill him after his friend, an ex-gang member named 'Gustavo', revealed she was planning to hire him to put a bullet through his head.
'He was like a third son to me and agreed to record their meetings', he explained, before the pair took their evidence to the police.
As part of their plan to catch her, he staged a photograph where he posed in a grave with a fake bullet hole in his head to make it appear as though he had been assassinated.
With the support of the FBI, Texas Rangers painted bloody make-up on Sosa, so it looked as though he had been shot through the temple.
Then they drove him to the Texan desert and buried him in a shallow grave, which they had already dug. He then went underground for three days, leaving family and friends to believe he was missing.
The photograph was shown to Lulu by an undercover FBI agent. She laughed when she saw them and was then arrested.
Sosa said he was 'sad' to see her jailed for the crimes, saying: ' It was very sad, I have so much rage but so much sadness. At one time we were in love - I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with her.'

'It hit me that I still had to live under the same roof with the person planning to have me murdered.
'I slept with the enemy and with one eye open, all while trying to act as “normal” as possible so Lulu would continue with her plan.... it was the only way to catch her in the act,' he told The Sun.
Of staging the photograph, he said: 'It was chilling. Utterly and indescribably chilling.
'That picture, to this day, reflects one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life. The thought of me lying in a shallow grave in my underwear with a bullet hole through my temple is mind boggling.'
Sosa said that though their marriage and divorce was 'difficult', he 'never, ever for one moment' thought she would try to have him killed.

Sosa told the show they'd been a close couple during the early years of their relationship, saying: 'She treated me like a king while we were dating, she was a wonderful person'
'In hindsight I can tell you that she not only wanted to have me murdered, but she had been planning to destroy the life I worked so hard to build for some time.
'After I received all the evidence that the authorities had collected from Lulu, I can honestly say that l am very lucky to still be alive.'
He has now released a book - I Walked On My Own Grave - to try to encourage other men to come forward and share their stories as victims of domestic abuse.
'Whether it is physical, mental or emotional abuse… please get help, immediately.
'I was fortunate to live through an abusive relationship. Lulu tried for months to destroy my life.
'When all her plans didn’t work she decided to have me killed. I have dedicated my life to being a public speaker advocating on behalf of victims of domestic abuse,' he said.
Lulu pleaded guilty to solicitation of murder at the District Court in Conroe, Texas, and was jailed for 20 years in October 2016.
