Matt Gaetz's fiancée, 26, is a 'food sustainability analyst' who counts Tiffany Trump as a close friend. But she has nothing to say about claims her soon-to-be husband 'sex-trafficked 17-year-old girl'

Republicans have been rocked by revelations that Rep. Matt Gaetz is being investigated by the Department of Justice over claims he sex trafficked a 17-year-old girl.

But while the outspoken Congressman, 38, has vehemently denied the allegations, his glamorous new fiancee, Ginger Luckey, 26, is keeping quiet amid the scandal.

Luckey's Instagram account is locked and she has failed to post any new tweets since news of the DOJ probe broke Tuesday night.

The couple began dating in March of last year after meeting at Mar-a-Lago.

Gatez - who was elected to Congress in 2017 - proposed to Luckey at the same location last December following a whirlwind nine-month romance.

Luckey is usually based in California, but has been able to spend ample time with Florida-based Gaetz during the coronavirus pandemic as her work has gone remote.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com last December, Luckey stated that she has become inseparable from her husband-to-be.

'I have been traveling with him everywhere. I am his travel buddy,' she cooed.

But while Luckey may soon be a politician's wife, she is clearly career-minded.

She is currently employed as a financial analyst for Apeel - a company that 'works with nature to reduce food waste and create abundance for all.'

She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in economics and accounting in 2016.

She is now reportedly studying sustainable business strategy with Harvard's online business school.

'I like working, I love what I do. My company is very mission driven and Matt is fully supportive of my career,' Luckey told DailyMail.com last December.

'In fact, I will probably be the breadwinner.'

While Gaetz is the son of uber wealthy Florida State Senator, Don Gaetz, Luckey is also very well-connected.

Her older brother, Palmer, became a multi-millionaire overnight when he sold his virtual reality company Oculus VR to Facebook for $2 billion in 2014.

Luckey also counts Tiffany Trump as a close friend, having posted multiple photos with the former First Daughter to her Twitter account.

The last couple photo Luckey shared to social media with Gaetz was posted on March 5.

Speaking with DailyMail.com last December, the beauty said she is in no rush to walk down the aisle.

''It'll be between now and 2024,' she said. 'We are flexible and have no timespan yet.

'Matt wants an Elvis impersonator to preside. I want multiple venues, so we'll see.'

On Tuesday night, it was revealed that the Justice Department is investigating Gaetz for allegedly having a relationship with a 17-year-old and paying for her to travel with him two years ago in violation of child sex trafficking laws.

Gaetz refuted the allegations in a series of statements and interviews and says he is the victim of an 'organized criminal extortion scheme' to get money from his family.

He claims the story about the lurid claims was leaked to the The New York Times to thwart an FBI investigation into the alleged plot by the former DOJ official to get millions in 'bribes' in exchange for 'making horrible sex trafficking allegations against me go away.'

Gaetz says he has been working with the FBI and his father Don Gaetz has been wearing a wire to expose the 'criminals' who are behind the 'smears' against him.

'On March 16, my father got a text message demanding a meeting wherein a person demanded $25 million in exchange for making horrible sex trafficking allegations against me go away,' Gaetz told Fox News' Tucker Carlson in an extraordinary interview on Tuesday night.

'Our family was so troubled by that, we went to the local FBI. The FBI and the Department of Justice were so concerned about this attempted extortion of a member of Congress that they asked my dad to wear a wire, which he did, with the former Department of Justice official.'

Gatez said he was supposed to hand over a $4.5million bribe to the 'rogue' official before the New York Times broke the story.

Gaetz identified the DOJ official as David McGee, the former lead attorney for the DOJ's Organized Crime Task Force who currently works at the Beggs & Lane law firm.

McGee told The Daily Beast the allegations are 'completely, totally false' and added 'this is a blatant attempt to distract from the fact that Matt Gaetz is apparently about to be indicted for sex trafficking underage girls.
