Social media users have been calling for Joe Biden's dog Major to be put down after he bit another staffer at the White House.
A National Park Service employee was taken to the White House Medical Unit for treatment Monday when the German Shepherd 'nipped' him while out for a walk on the White House South Lawn.
The staff member returned to work soon after but it marked the second time since Major moved to the White House that he has found himself in the doghouse with the team.
Just three weeks ago, the three-year-old bit another staff member in an incident that saw him temporarily banished to the family home in Delaware.

Major found himself in the doghouse again with some calling for him to be put down
Many people took to Twitter Tuesday night calling for Major to be euthanized after CNN first reported on Monday's incident.
'If my dog bit as many people as #MajorBiden id be forced to put him down,' one person tweeted.
'Put the dog down! One bite should have told the Biden's that Major would damage Joe's presidency. BUT two........?' wrote another.
'Kill Major, Biden's killer attack dog,' one person wrote.
Another person chimed in: 'I hate to be this way, because it's a beautiful dog and I hate it when people are like this, but there's a double standard here, if Major Biden was any one else's dog, it would have been put down over this second incident if not for the first because "safety".'
'All I know is, I better hear about major Biden has being put to sleep!!! I've seen dogs put down for less!!!' wrote another person.
Others claimed Democrats would have been up in arms if a pet belonging to former president Donald Trump had bitten a White House staff member.
'If #PresidentTrump had a dog in the White House that bit, there would be leftists screaming have it put it down,' claimed one person.
'The same people that think Biden's dog Major deserves ANOTHER second chance after attacking someone else are the same animal rights activists who are totally cool with killing unborn babies,' wrote another.
'Vicious dogs though? They're just misunderstood. Put him down.'
A hilarious meme surfaced online of Major sitting opposite Oprah Winfrey, replacing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in their bombshell interview

Others shared links to buy a novelty t-shirt range featuring a cartoon image of Major along with the slogan 'Major Biden: Bite Back Better'
Despite the comments online, it is very rare that a dog will be put down for biting.
If someone is bitten by a dog in Washington DC, they can file a suit against its owner under the one-bite rule.
This rule means that, if the dog has bitten someone before, the owner is expected to have taken extra steps to prevent another attack.
However, the district's laws also state that if the victim teased or provoked the dog at all, they are partly liable and would not be eligible for compensation.
While some people rushed to criticize the president's beloved pooch, other social media users found the more humorous side and said they would wait to hear Major's side of the story.

'I was upset because I felt that the Biden’s didn’t protect me. The Secret Service kept acting like they threw the ball, but it was in their hands the whole time. They told me I’d be protected from that but I wasn’t,' they wrote.

'Major Biden is still better than Stephen Miller,' one person wrote, in reference to Trump's senior advisor for policy and White House director of speechwriting.
The online pooch community also backed Major, with one fellow German Shepherd appearing to write: 'I understand Major’s struggle! We look alike and my human has had to teach other humans how and when or when not to approach me. You got this #MajorBiden.'
Joe and Jill Biden rescued the pair of German Shepherds in 2018 and have moved them into the White House
Jill Biden's press secretary Michael LaRosa confirmed Monday's biting incident to CNN Tuesday: 'Yes, Major nipped someone on a walk.
'Out of an abundance of caution, the individual was seen by WHMU and then returned to work.'
It comes just three weeks after Major bit another security guard, and was banished to Biden's family home in Delaware.
He received training alongside the Bidens' other dog Champ.
Major was last spotted on a walk on Monday at around 5pm on a leash. It's unclear when exactly the latest biting incident occurred.
At the beginning of March, press secretary Jen Psaki defended the first biting incident, saying the first dogs were 'still getting acclimated and accustomed to their new surroundings and new people'.
She said Major, whom Biden and his wife Jill adopted in November 2018 from an animal shelter, 'was surprised by an unfamiliar person and reacted in a way that resulted in a minor injury to the individual, which was handled by the White House medical unit with no further treatment needed.'
She declined to say if the person was a Secret Service agent or give any other identifying information.
Major is the first rescue dog to have lived in the White House, having moved in after Biden's inauguration in January.
The Bidens adopted him as company for 14-year-old Champ after being told it would help the health of the older dog to have a younger companion.

Biden's predecessor Donald Trump did not have any pets at the White House.
First Lady Jill Biden said in an interview last month she had been focused on getting the dogs settled into their new home in Washington.
'They have to take the elevator, they're not used to that, and they have to go out on the South Lawn with lots of people watching them. So that's what I've been obsessed with, getting everybody settled and calm,' she said on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.'
The dogs joined the Bidens at the White House shortly after they relocated to Washington.
Since then, they have been allowed to roam unleashed on the White House grounds and often feature in the background of Oval Office photos.
