Ocasio-Cortez Takes Victory Lap For Only Helping Cost Her Constituents 23,500 Jobs

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has never been the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but this is next plateau ridiculousness.
The 29-year-old representative took to Twitter to congratulate herself on Amazon’s decision to bring an office to New York.
Of course, this happened after her and some other New York elected officials pushed for the multi-billion dollar company to not come to New York.
They begged and created social media campaigns to keep the retail giant out of their city and state and they got their wish.
And now that Amazon has decided to come back to the Empire State she is taking a victory lap even though she had no part in that decision.
“Won’t you look at that: Amazon is coming to NYC anyway – *without* requiring the public to finance shady deals, helipad handouts for Jeff Bezos, & corporate giveaways.
“Maybe the Trump admin should focus more on cutting public assistance to billionaires instead of poor families,” she said.
But there is one thing that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, shall we say, forgot to mention.
Yes, Amazon has decided to bring some jobs to the city, but that number is 1,500. A far cry from the 25,000 high paying jobs that were coming before she pushed them out of the door. A fact that yours truly, among others, mentioned to her.
“And you only cost the city 23,500 jobs. Congrats,” I said to her in response to her ridiculous victory lap.
“You went from 25,000 Amazon jobs in your district to just 1,500 being offered OUTSIDE your district. You’re an idiot if you think this is a success for your constituents,” conservative commentator Caleb Hull said.

“The Amazon HQ deal you destroyed in Queens would’ve employed 25,000+ people. The new space will employ 1,500. 25,000+ good jobs and increased economic activity at a growing headquarters is far > than 1,500 jobs at a non-HQ. You have an embarrassing lack of business knowledge,” Robby Starbuck said.

She has a lack of any knowledge and the quicker the voters in her city realize that the quicker they are going to be able to fix it.
