Stereoview cards were an old form of entertainment during the early part of the 1900s. Many of them depicted scenes from everyday life or simple stories. A few even tried to teach children life lessons through what happened in the stories. While these stories may have been effective when they were written, they're actually pretty terrifying by today's standards. One particularly disturbing stereoview story called "The Goblins Will Get You If You Don't Watch Out," is just the pinnacle of terror. If you don't believe me check it out below. The Boogieman is real, and apparently it loves to prey on sleeping children.
Bedtime starts just like any other night...
Something is spying on her through the window.
Creeping in.
Hiding under the bed.
More monsters coming in through the window.
Say your prayers.
Umm...what?
This guy actually looks like a goblin.
"Time to say goodbye."
She actually doesn't look that panicked.
