The National Hockey League on Thursday announced it will be suspending the 2019-2020 season due to concerns over the Coronavirus.

The NHL decided to shut down the season after the NBA decided to suspend games after a player for the Utah Jazz tested positive for Coronavirus.
“Our goal is to resume play as soon as it is appropriate and prudent, so that we will be able to complete the season and award the Stanley Cup,” the NHL said in a statement.
The NHL said it will halt the season effective immediately and cancelled Thursday night’s game.
